Toilet Paper Mayhem!
Should we be surprised? We knew it would happen one day...I'm just thankful we caught her before things...REALLY unravelled!!! (pun intended)

H is for Hogleg
If you're wondering what this is about, visit here to start at the beginning.
H: H is for Hogleg, 5/4/12
We are back into the swing of things with our ABC dates! First November hit, which included surgery for me (tonsillectomy...ugh!), then the holidays hit, then the New Year...and well, here we are! We have been on dates, but Trey wanted to wait for nice weather for our "H" date.
Ok, so now, for the date. For those of you who have no idea what "hogleg" means, you are in good company. I had no idea! But apparently "hogleg" is a slang term for "pistol." So there, now we all know! Before our little miss priss was born, Trey and I used to go shooting quite a bit. I did not grow up around guns like Trey did, so I always have to reacquaint myself with them, but I really do enjoy shooting once I get comfortable again. Probably one of the best pieces of marriage advice I received from my pastor who married us, Pastor Cox, was to find out what my husband loves to do as a hobby and do it with him. Being Trey's best friend means we need to play together, not just deal with all the stressors that life brings our way. Ergo, we shoot guns :) ...and fish, and traipse around outdoors, and ride horses...
Our "H" date was a morning date, and I really enjoyed the timing. Fridays are Trey's day off. A lady from our church came over to watch Kate at 9, which is around the time Kate goes down for her morning nap. She was already down, so once we got all of our stuff loaded in the truck, we were off! A family member here in Canton owns lots and lots of land, and Trey has access to a lot of private hunting on this land, so we went to the hunting grounds called "the Woods."
It was so peaceful and quiet. I was a little skiddish of all the bugs flying around and at me, but after I bathed myself in bug spray, all was good!
We set up near a deer feeder. There were some fresh deer tracks, but we obviously didn't see any wildlife. I'm pretty sure any animals that might've been near us probably cleared out pretty quickly once we got to shooting! We set our targets up about 10-15 yards away and practiced shooting with our pistols first.
What a blast we had!! We ended up staying out there for a couple of hours. After we shot pistols, we moved back about 100 yards and shot our rifles. Trey is a really good shot. We competed once to see who could hit their target first, and Trey definitely annihilated me. But I did learn that, with a hand gun, I'm a much better shot when I just lift it and shoot, as opposed to when I stand there for a long time concentrating and aiming.
Overall, this date was simply awesome. It was nice to have a date where we throw on clothes with the intent of getting dirty. Sometimes it's nice to dress up for a date, but other times it is just plain fun to play!!

Grill Night
On Tuesday nights, we like to grill out. We like to grill out anytime, really, but Tuesday nights have become the night of the week that we grill for sure. We enjoy letting Kate play, either in her walker or in her pack & play, setting the gates up so the dogs can hang out, and enjoying the fresh air for the evening. Here are some pics from our recent night of grilling out!
HAHAHA!!! She cracks me up!
Relaxing with her daddy :)
